#atozchallenge -- Stormy the Weather Gnome talks mid-alphabet slump!

\

If this is your first year doing the Blogging from A to Z April Challenge, or your fifth, it's easy to get bogged down during the middle of the alphabet.

It's not that M, N, O, and P are boring, it's just that you've been looking at letters for about two weeks and there seems no end in sight!

Well, don't bury your head like an ostrich!

You must embrace the middle!

You must find your inner motivation!

You must push through those 'sucking you down like quicksand' and 'walking through molasses' letters!

Have a laugh!

Have another!

And then, get right back to work!

The end is near!!!!

I've only done the challenge once before, but I did fine through the middle. It was around letter S or T that I started to fizzle. I made it, but it was hard at the end. I'm getting all my posts done ahead of time this year so I don't have to worry about that happening again! Love the gnome pics!! Too funny.

So excited! I just finally picked a theme and haven't written a single post, so I'm totally not worried about the middle of the alphabet yet. There's plenty of time for that :)

Stormy is soooo cute! Can he come play with us over at Unconventional Librarian?

The half-way point is where some bloggers give up on the A to Z. I figure if you've gotten that far then the rest of the way is just coasting to the end.

Good push for everyone. I'm pleased to say mine are all done so I can sit on my laurels and gloat at those who haven't finished yet.

Yes, the middle is where the flab is, slowing us down. .....The funny gnome will boost our morale and we will re-read this post again.
Thanks

What, no mention of copious amounts of alcohol? I have pre-written some posts this year, I started with M, and a few other random, middle of the alphabet letters, I forgot about Q - I have no idea where I am up to right, I just hope to get pleasantly surprised during the slump -

When we get bogged down, all we have to do is go visit Stormy! He certainly cheered me up and got me going this morning! I haven't gotten any posts up, though I have three hand-written ones (something I never do, but hey, you adapt to your circumstances...). One tip I have is to pre-load your post. Here's what I mean.

1) Download all the letters Jeremy, our digital guru made. They're up there under the banners and badges tab.

2) Go in and start a post, insert the correct letter, pre-schedule it for the right day (he also made a calendar so it's easy to find the right day, and there's a list of the days and letters in the FAQ, also a tab above)

3) Don't know how to pre-schedule? That's in the FAQ, too.

4) If you know your topic for the day, if you've planned that far ahead, go ahead and put the title of your post, if not, just put the letter.

Now when you go to write the post, all you need is the words, and maybe the pictures, if you're using them, and all you have to do is hit publish, because the day and time is already set.

This is my first Challenge and I'm really excited about participating and helping out too. I think knowing I have someone relying on me to help them out will deter me from getting to bogged down. I'm in the middle of finishing my posts today. That's my goal into next week. Get them all done so I can sit back and enjoy it.

Great tips - thanks!!
