You're past the half-way point and can almost taste it.
Hints of an alphabet blogging victory are near.
Soon, you'll cheer for joy, sharing a proud moment with hundreds of other people from around the world who, like you, challenged themselves to blog everyday for 26 days...and finally made it.

Until that day comes, smell the progress in the air.
It takes a special kind of blogger to stay the course,
with the solace in knowing he or she is almost there.

Some of us have already experienced this sensation that's getting stronger day by day.
Others are curious about what it's like, so they have no plans for going astray.
It's called the sweet smell of survival.
Those who are watching from the sidelines may be curious about such an aroma, that which makes us unstoppable in this way.
Since we started and kept going, we owe it to ourselves to continue, and finish, for then we can reflect on all we've accomplished, come May.

Can YOU smell the nearby victory that the 2014 A-to-Z is cooking?
Will YOU be at the Survivor's Summit, on Wednesday, April 30th (The Final Lap of the 2014 #AtoZChallenge) and Monday, May 5th (The Day of Reflections for the 2014 #AtoZChallenge)?
I'll be there, already have my reflections post put together :)
ReplyDeleteNot sure yet - travelling then.
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty sure mine will not be victory, but relief that it's over. Had a really tough time this year, just keeping up with the blogs and I've been a bad minion as well. :( I can't imagine how much worse I'd be feeling if I'd done A-Z posts myself.
ReplyDeleteI hope so! Fingers crossed. :)
ReplyDeleteI'll be there for sure! Last year I just got there and quit, exhausted. This year I feel like a part of things, eager for the "after glow". I have learned such a lot and am enjoying it so much! Many thanks to the hosts who make this possible.

A to Z Team @ Blogging From A to Z April Challenge 2014
Where shall I start. Last year when I did the challenge I was dissa pointed to find very few photograpic blogs, this year seems to be no different. I did not enter as I had lost the hard drive my photos were on so I was not prepaired to do the challenge. Last year I visited many blogs and found many had fallen by the wayside. This year appears no different. I find this very sad to see this. Some have not posted since the 3rd April and I even found one which was an avertiment for a blog and no entries at all. Mind you others I have visited are up todate and well into the challenge. Hope you all keep it up
ReplyDeleteI pretty much finished my posts for the challenge and have them scheduled to publish. Enjoying my topic of letters from my grandfather and thinking I'll do something more with them after. I am having a problem with visiting but plugging along.
ReplyDeleteI didn't participate this year, but I have in the past. It is a wonderful feeling of accomplishment to get to May, look back and say, "WOW! I did it!" Congrats to everyone who tackled the challenge this year and who are on their way to sweet victory! Here's to next year! I'm already planning my theme..never too early, right?
ReplyDeleteCheers,
Jen
Close yes although I do have a post to make-up so it won't be a land slide victory this year. Maybe next?

I do find it can get very quiet after Z . . . . but I will probably just keep going, although I may not mention Aardvarks again for a while. . . . . . (well maybe just a bit)

I wasn't aware that there are #AtoZ Summits and Reflection events to held on may 5th. Good thing I read this. It's been fun, but am now tired. http://www.writer-way.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteYep...I'll be there!!!
ReplyDeletes is for sulking, silent treatment, shouting
ReplyDeletesweet sweat and sweltering over the final letters. It's all swell
ReplyDeleteStill slogging on, even with fewer people visiting. Will breathe a sigh of relief, though - and now you want a reflections post? Participating for the first year, I might have to cheat and look at others first before I can produce something "erudite" that floats (after all, my theme is boats). Had a blast so far, though.
ReplyDeleteYes it does smell sweet to have made it thus far and to be almost there. Looking forward to the finish line, but I have enjoyed it immensely. Maria from Delight Directed Living
ReplyDeleteI think it will be difficult to get back into the blogging pattern once the bloghop is over. I have been enjoying it tremendously, but have to admit that I am not successfully and consistently checking out the numbers of participants. I was going forward just fine, then had some serious migraine days. My numbers of "checking in" on me has decreased as well.
ReplyDeleteIt seems that some of the better writing is coming through these last days. Habit and practice help no doubt. :-)
ReplyDeleteAHHH I wish I had found this before it was nearly over! :( well, hopefully next time it comes around I can participate, it looks fun!

I really enjoyed this challenge. I think I should finish this successfully :)
ReplyDeleteTHROUGH THE LENS
Surviving it? I'm loving it!
ReplyDeleteWhy can't we have 33 letters like the Russians?
sweet & sweaty but worth it. Even though somehow a scheduled post or two landed up in the trash. I wondered where the H it was - that caused palpitations ... my V disappeared as well but luckily retrieved as well ...
ReplyDeleteThanks for the encouragement from the terrific team!
