You might be planning a blog hiatus, or at the least, more sleep.

1. Try and stay in touch with the new bloggy friends you made.
2. Blog at least once a week, and more if you can.
3. Pre-schedule at least some of your posts so you have more time to visit.
4. Visit 10 blogs a day, a few of them your regular friends, and some new ones.
5. Consider making guest posts on this AZ blog to promote a cause or your book or product.
So yes, after x-cessive, x-hausting blogging, we recommend more x-hilirating blogging, only at an easier pace. Stay tuned to hear more about the A to Z Post Challenge Road Trip.

A to Z Post Challenge Road Trip.
And do not forget to make your Reflections Post-- the linky will be open on 5th May on this blog! Link your Reflections post on this linky, and NOT your blog.
Your posts would help us cohosts learn what to do better next year, and you might learn from each others' experiences!
Good post today :) I'm definitely slowing my posting pace down a bit after the challenge ends-right now I'm posting 7 days a week and several times a week I'm putting up two posts a day, (one for challenge, one for regular blog stuff). Starting next week I'll be cutting back to blogging 4-5 days a week, whew!

I have the last two posts ready to go, and am feeling rudderless! I will have the next day off, and I will be slowing down some in May. However, I still hope to post several times a week.
ReplyDeleteGreat tips. I totally plan on continuing to visit the new blogging friends I've made. In May I'll work on updating three to four times a week and I'm looking forward to writing my Reflections Post as well as reading what other bloggers have to say about the last month.

It's so tempting to stop after a challenge like this but it's so hard to get back into the regular groove if you do! Take it from someone who took months off from blogging : it may be hard to keep going, but it's totally worth it!
ReplyDeleteJen
Hopefully the momentum is sustained. I'm here!

After a bit of a break, I'm planning on going back to my regular 2-3x a week posting schedule. I'm also looking forward to reading my new blogging buddies non-Challenge posts. :)

ReplyDeleteand really xhaustedddd
Phew, X-hausted is a understatement! This challenge sure has kept us X-tra busy! We think we've X-celled ourselves with todays post.. It was hard to X-ecute but we did it... We might have even gone a little X-treme. Bernie the Frenchie
ReplyDeleteIt has been a treat. Reconnected with bloggers from last year, made new friends and learned so much great stuff. Found interesting books to read and new treats to make. There is no other place to do so much stuff in such a short time. Love the A to Z and am looking forward to next year.
ReplyDeleteI think video tutorials for the A-Z so we know what we're doing might be an idea!
ReplyDeleteYes, keep in touch with your new friends!
ReplyDeleteGood suggestions. Question: I have 2 techy questions--where can I find out what the circle thing is and how do I refer readers to my blog posts to other sources by just a click of the name or title?
ReplyDeleteI'll be going back to my once a week posts, but will definitely keep up with my new friends.
ReplyDeleteAlready lost one of the new followers, but will check on that..

I am looking forward to getting into my normal blogging routine after this, but I definitely plan on keeping in touch with my new blogging friends. :)
ReplyDeleteGood points. It's all about supporting each other. Makes me proud to be even a small part of this community.
ReplyDeleteThe key is really momentum. We've got our blogs rollin', rollin', rollin', and if we all of a sudden stop, so will the new readers we've just worked so hard to build up! Trust, I did that my first year, and it was a lot of work to get it all rollin' again.
ReplyDeleteOf course take a break, post fewer posts a week, whatever is best for you. I'm just saying you've got it going good now - take advantage!
I'm so excited about the new friends I made this year, and being able to go back and read more of their series. As a co-host, it's hard to make repeat visits since we have the whole list. I do have a solution for that though, and it's called The Road Trip. Ya'll come back her 5/6 and read all about it!
Please, also, as co-hosts, we really appreciate the Reflections. It helps us make each year a bit better, so feel free to praise AND critique. We want this Challenge to be the best hop available, and we can't do that without your input. We do try to read them ALL, at least one or two of us at post.

Oh how true and loved doing this challenge which was my first. met new and fun and supportive people. Lost of fun
ReplyDeleteThanks Tina - it's been a ride and a half - but so worth it making new friends in the blog-o-sphere. I'm just hoping I can get that linky thing for Reflections working ...

I've really enjoyed this challenge! Despite losing my domain name in the middle of it.... I got locked out of my email and it took two months to get back in, during which time my dad who lives in another country was hospitalized. After flying across the world and running up and down to the hospital every day with no access to email, I return to find my domain name was auctioned off and bought by someone in Belarus! Let's just say this challenge has been challenging... But, I have connected with some new friends, read some great posts and hope to keep in touch.
ReplyDeleteXhausted is a good description of how I feel. I want to keep blogging and visiting other blogs but will probably take a short break to decide which direction to take for future posts.
ReplyDeleteGail visiting for AtoZ
Actually, I've been thinking about my Reflections. There are some things I have learned from other bloggers.
ReplyDeleteOOO OOO! or should I say XOXOXO? It's been fun, it's pushed me to X-cess and that can be a good thing. I'd love to be invited to do a guest post sometime. Send me a message at http://yourbrainonpandas.com Thanks for inviting me to play with y'all this month.
ReplyDeleteIf anything, I'll probably take a short break for the rest of the week. Maybe post a video or something. Not quite sure yet what I'm going to do.
ReplyDeleteFather Nature's Corner
I'm definitely eXhausted but it's been a rewarding experience for sure. Wish I had scheduled more posts and didn't get sick for a whole week but I'll try to catch up with everyone over the weekend. Unless something uneXpected happens I'll be back for the Reflections Post.
ReplyDeleteThe Pedestrian Writer
Oh yes, I missed a few in between, caught up, wrote 3 posts in a day, slogged, googled, traveled, Yes yes and it will be great to be in touch with people :) Look forward to the next year's challenge now :D
ReplyDeleteHopefully I can sustain the momentum and can stay in touch with a great new blogs that I have 'found'!!
ReplyDeleteLove that cat!
ReplyDeletethank you for the post, and the cat is awesome!!!! Mine are up, planning on staying in touch with new followers.
ReplyDeleteoops so sorry bout that ...http://ussminnow1964.blogspot.com/2014/04/a-z-challenge-w.html
DeleteIt was indeed X-hilarating but also a bit X-asperating when I clicked on a nice blogger's name and only the profile came up with no way to get to the blog...just saying, because I would have liked to visit all those who were thoughtful enough to leave comments on my challenge...which by now have trickled down a bit. Must take a cat-nap after all this X-hausting chatter, especially for this solitary soul.
ReplyDeleteI'll definitely continue to post six days a week. This has been grand and caused me to think of my writing from different perspectives. Encountering new bloggers is grand & the encouragement still leaves my head feeling floaty.
ReplyDeleteI'd love to be an A to Z feature blogger & raise funds for the book I'm writing, "Loved As If." Thanks for sponsoring the A to Z Challenge. Drusilla
PS: my A to Z posts are at Loved As If.
This is the 3rd 30-day blog challenge I've done. Each time I start one, I ask myself what I was thinking. As tiring as it is, I always have a great time at it. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteMy A-Z posts are at The Iron Diva
Thanks for the helpful tips.
