#AtoZChallenge - Q - QWERTY -- [Blogfest Announcement]

Happy 'Q' Day!

QWERTY: is the most common modern-day keyboard layout for Latin script. The name comes from reading the first six keys appearing on the top left letter row of the keyboard (Q, W, E, R, T, and Y) from left to right.

Getting tired of looking at your QWERTY keyboard yet?

Well...tough noogies!

We are not done yet!

Q is only the 17th letter in the alphabet!

You know what's up next? All the hard letters!

Yeah, you know it and I know it!

U, V, W, X, Y & Z!

[add movie scream here]

These letters are going to require lots of finesse and skill, two things I sorely lack, so instead, I'll have to wing it!

Hey, look! Wing it! That's a W word!

Know what? We can't lose!

Can we do it? Yes, we can!

Wait! That's a Y word!

Special Blogfest Announcement

Blood, Boobs, and Carnage Blogfest!
Hosted by Alex J. Cavanaugh and Heather M. Gardner.

Yes, Blood, Boobs, and Carnage!

Alex used that phrase last year to describe an upcoming movie release. It amused many people, including ME. (Okay, mostly me)  So, naturally we decided to make it a blogfest.

What falls into that category? Here’s a few examples – Conan the Barbarian, Breaking Bad, Fast and Furious, The Watchmen, etc.

Here’s the details, short and simple:

On May 18, 2015, post about a movie, television show, book, or all three that falls into the category of Blood, Boobs, and Carnage. (Or just Blood and Carnage or other mixture.) It can be any genre that fits the bill – fantasy, science fiction, action, adventure, western, thriller, etc. Post the badge and visit other participants.

  6. I have topics for those letters, damn good ones too. Unfortunately, I'm running out of steam and words no come out good now. Thanks for the encouragement. Wine and chocolate would be welcome as well. The best thing about next week: the 30th, Z day, is my birthday. I think I'll take a week off from writing as a present to myself.

  18. I found out about Qwerty when I was 17 and taking typing lessons! This is what we used in class to learn finger placement and where the letters were. "The Quick Brown Fox Jumped Over the Lazy Dog" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_quick_brown_fox_jumps_over_the_lazy_dog
So glad my posts are done. I check them before I post, but they are done! Q was one of the hardest ones, but my brain pulled through for me! Lisa, co-host AtoZ 2015, @ http://www.lisabuiecollard.com

  24. Most of the letters I already had in mind and my subject is Missouri so there were lots to choose from. I've had a lot of fun looking closer at the state I now call home. I will admit, I've had to stretch just a bit to find a subject to fit the letter.

Took me a while to figure out where the term querty came from, lol! One of cell phones I had mentioned a querty keyboard and I think querty? What the hell is a querty? :-D

  31. I've done really well this year. I missed two days but posted why and made up for them. I've scheduled/posted up to U plus W. Z should be a quick read. V and Y are thick books unless I change my mind. Still thinking about X.

  32. I have the rest of my letters mapped out, which should be the hard part. But then when I sit down to write them, I still seem to struggle. I think my brain is tired. :)
