Your Schedule Going Forward #atozchallenge

We're celebrating our Tenth Anniversary here at the April Blogging from A to Z Challenge.

#AtoZchallenge: The blog hop that made an online community by asking bloggers to spend the month of April using the English alphabet as inspiration for their posts. We're glad you stopped by today.

It'll all be over soon...

Do you get a little depressed knowing that the end of the A to Z Challenge is just over a week away? I mean, you've been through a month of pretty intensive blogging. If you're not accustomed to posting every day, this can seem like a lot. Even if you are accustomed to posting every day, this can seem like a lot. On the other hand, some of you who aren't accustomed to posting every day might be considering it, or at least posting more frequently than you have.

Whatever the case, the one thing you don't want to do is stop. You've spent a month building up traffic on your blog. This is no time to just say "See you next year!" You want your readers to keep coming back, don't you?

The key to keeping your readers coming back is consistency. You might only post on Wednesday (or every other Wednesday), but that's enough if you let your readers know that you'll have something new for them every (other) Wednesday.

So, decide what your posting schedule will be from May 1, 2019 until March 31, 2020. And remember, schedules can be changed if you discover that another day(s) works better, or if you feel you can add more days or have to cut back.

You've got good momentum going into the stretch. I hope we keep seeing you the rest of the year!

  1. I forget about the weekend break. Hope everybody had a great Easter. Wrote this poem last night almost a few minutes before hitting day 22.

  5. I'm not used to post everyday, and for me it's a little to much! Once or twice a week is great, also because I have not everyday something new to show! Quilting is a very slow process, and as I'm working I don't spend so much time quilting...

  6. I must admit I have had a rather long break from my trusty blog and the A to Z has been good to get me back and active on it again. I still have lots going on in the real world, but I will be making sure I put a few more posts up in the coming months. . . .

    All being well.

And I am building a workshop and everyone will want to see pics of that when its finished . . . . . . Including Me

  7. John,

I don't think depression is quite the sensation I get when the A2Z Challenge ends. If I'm honest, I am a bit relieved. Although my posts are scheduled I still find it grueling to stay on top of things as I'm sure everyone else does, too. I'll miss the excitement of daily involvement with the community but I know if I'm around next year, I'll gear up for the blogfest again fully refreshed (I hope). I do need to include more A2Z road trips this year than I did last and at the very least keep better contact with those who touched base with me this month. This is a weak area for me that needs careful attention. Anyhow, thanks for hosting and sharing with me in this experience!

  10. Some of my blogs (the Trucks) get almost no action except for A-Z. That's because I started that blog to learn WordPress. I've got a dessert blog that definitely needs attention. Maybe I'll do an A-Z on that one next year.

ps: I really like the fact that the comment box is a popup. Makes A-Z commenting easy on a desktop computer.

  12. I have a team of bloggers so I don't find blogging daily too problematic. It's the other social media that I do on my own that I find consistency difficult. That's why I did A2Z on Instagram this year.
