Getting to know co-host Jenny Pearson (the inside scoop)

Today, I'm over here at the Blogging from A to Z Challenge blog, answering some questions that each co-host has been asked to answer - so you can get to know us a little better - today is my turn on the hot seat!

Name:  Jenny Pearson

TEN GETTING TO KNOW ME QUESTIONS
What is the most daring thing you've ever done?
Come to Earth.
What is your favourite article of clothing?
My birthday suit.
What is your favourite monster?
My inner child.
If you had to dress up as your favourite literary character, who would it be?
Lola, from Storm Wenger Chronicles. (stilettos, fast cars and tall, handsome Thor - what more could a girl want)
What is your favourite fairy tale, urban legend or nursery rhyme?
My favourite tales are those I made up and told my daughter...long, long ago...far, far away...at the end of the galaxy!
What is a cause near and dear to your heart?
Motherhood. (yes, I consider it a cause)
What's the strangest item you've used as a bookmark?
I’ve never used anything that would qualify as “strange”...for a bookmark.
Do you have any nicknames? What are they and how did you earn them?
No-fur. My name appeared on a roster as Jennifer - I advised the team captain “there’s no fur on this Jenny” - it stuck!
Name one habit you want to change in yourself:
Impatience.
Tell us something interesting or shocking about yourself:
I applied to be a Private Eye and acquired my FAC; I can hit a moving target and I ask questions later!
SOME A to Z QUESTIONS
What was your favourite A to Z post from 2011?
What brought you to the A to Z originally?
I saw the Challenge badge on April 1, 2011, over at Al’s place.
Tell us about your first A to Z Challenge:
2011 was my first - since I had no time to prep I posted daily based on that day’s inspirations. I loved it!
Are you doing a theme this year?
I think so...but we’ll see.
Are you writing and scheduling posts in advance?
Yes, but only because I’m co-hosting, otherwise I would do my posts the day of (I liked the spontaneity last year). This year I will use my free time to visit and comment on blogs that are participating in the A to Z Challenge.
What is your favourite letter of the alphabet, and why?  What letter do you like least?
I don’t have a favourite, I like them all!

All that’s left for me to do is invite you to stay for cake and ice-cream!

Today is my birthday, and I like celebrating it with friends!
If you want to read a funny post about how I celebrate this monumental occasion...read THIS!

Is there anything else you’d like to know? ...shoe size? ...ring size?...just ask! I might know the answer!

Now, tell me something 'interesting' or 'shocking' about yourself, hmm...

Happy Blogging!  Jenny
And don’t forget…
This A to Z Co-Host wants to play TAG with you!

  2. Loved this! Your personality shines through loud and clear! I've always loved the "Question Game" as we call it. It's great at a bar when groups of friends collide. For example, I invited two friends and you invited two friends, but even though you and I know each other, we don't know those each invited. Then it's fun to go around the table and take turns asking probing questions. Of course, as the night wears on and the bar tab multiplies, we get more and more comfortable until the questions are more along the lines of, "What's the riskiest place you've ever had sex?" and we've left the "What's your favorite letter?"

Happy Birthday to my newest of friends. Celebrate in style. I highly approve of the martini, but get those damn olives out of there and gimme a twist!

  11. Happy birthday Jenny, nice to meet you and to get to know you too. I love spontaneity writing too, but not just that, it is the way I blog, I can't do it any other way.

  12. Retro-Zombie - Hi Jeremy! My inner child (aka little jenny) is who comes out to play on occasions like this! She’s known to be quite the “little monster” when a prescheduled night of Lego-mania gets rescheduled!
And...my planet can be seen, on rare occasion, as it comes out of the shadows of Asteroid B-612! Are you from that part of the galaxy too?
    -----
oceangirl - Thanks for the birthday wishes, it’s nice to meet you too!
If I didn’t already have such a “Wonderful” middle name I would want it to be “Spontaneity”!

  13. I must say Jenny,

This has to be one of the most entertaining "Getting to Know Me" posts from the A to Z hosts so far! It made me smile and giggle and wonder what else you have in store for the rest of us mere mortals on Earth -- mostly because some of your answers to the questions made me say to myself "she can't be serious!....or is she?" lol.

Spontaneity makes the A to Z Challenge fun and is a way to blog in the moment, kinda like the way that some people prefer to live life. I'm sure it's only for those who can handle writing posts on a whim like that, because I know it isn't for everyone. If I had children, I would probably schedule posts in advance or else my kids would be the subject of every post...that's IF I didn't make them write the posts for me...maybe. Ha!

We share the habit of impatience and as much as I have tried to change it, I often allow it to creep up and get me all worked up for nothing. If I'm going to get worked up about anything, then, hell, it BETTER be for a good reason ;)

So, you're going to be a Private Eye, huh? I think that's great! Can you start by helping me find my iPod touch?...I'll buy you a bright and shiny new hammer for your tool box, in exchange for your services. The taxi company and police department that are setup to handle lost items have not put forth much effort in looking into the whereabouts of my device.

By the looks of this post, it seems you're still in the midst of narrowing down a theme for A to Z, so if you're looking for ideas, maybe those Death Wish movies you like could be turned into a theme for the entire alphabet, somehow. Just a thought!

Yes, there is something else I want to know about you:

How did you come up with the name for your blog?

As you requested, here is something "interesting" or "shocking" about me:

I once cut my hand...on a pair of panties. Broke skin that bled and everything. No joke. Needless to say, once the elastic in undergarments break, it's time to throw them in the trash...even if they are relatively brand new.

    Ouch!

    Also,

    Happy Birthday to YOU!

May you have all your cake that you can consume, and eat it too :)

I’m looking forward to your “shocking stuff”…

  17. Happy Birthday. I'm pretty boring compared to you. Is that a martini with the cake?

  18. Susan Gourley/Kelley - Thank you for the birthday wishes, Susan.

Yes...that is my birthday martini and cake!

I drink Bombay Gin (no Vermouth) and 3 olives.
And...I only indulge in one spoonful of each flavour of mousse - I don't eat wheat or gluten...and so the cake is not wasted I bring a hungry man with me! (at least it's not wasted on my hips) *grin*

Thank you for stopping by! :)
