Do I Have to talk about myself?: Co-host Damyanti

As a writer, I always thought I could hide, stay incognito, but the current publishing scenario won't stand for it. I've been blogging a few years now, but I usually try to keep writing and reading at the forefront and myself in the background. So, I'll take this post as practice, and try to talk about 'myself', my least favorite subject of conversation.

1."Where do you hail from?"
India.

2."When writing, do you prefer to compose your first-draft by hand, on your computer, or using Morse Code?"

By hand, if it is a short story, on the computer if it is a novel.

3."Where do you go to "Get away from it all"?"

  Pick up an absorbing book.

4. "Would you rather have your own personal sailing ship or spaceship? What would you name your ship?"
Spaceship. I've been on ships and haven't liked them much. If the spaceship resembles those in Star Trek, all the better.

5. "Name a book that didn't meet your expectations."
 Solar by Ian McEwan

6. "What makes life worth living?"
Life itself. Only thing worth living for.

7. "Do you know how to 'Gangnam Style?'"
Nope, and I hope never to have to learn.

8."What items could you typically have in your pockets?"
 Keys, Phone.

9."Cake or pie?"
Pie, sometimes. I like soups and salads, and all manner of healthy cuisine.

10."Coke or Pepsi?"
 Neither. Water, every time.

Whew, that's 10 questions answered, all done and dusted!
I can now go back to being A to Z challenge co-host, and ask you to make sure you stick to the AZ calendar, comment on as many posts as you can, turn off the captcha, and share your A to Z Challenge posts on all manner of social media. The A to Z Challenge is three days away, and I wish you all a fun and productive month of blogging in April!

  1. You're so opposite of me...you saw my impossibly long, chatty, had to stop at 8 questions post. Nice to know that even though we're so different - that's what makes us, and the rest of the gang, such a good TEAM. If we were all alike, where would the fun be!
Of course you can have a Start Trek ship, though I'd prefer a Cosbolt...

  7. Love your answer for #6. So many sub-topics came to mind when I read that. Life sums it up extremely well. And books - always enjoy getting lost in a good one. Three days til the challenge - it's like waiting for the Easter Bunny or something...speaking of which...Happy Easter Everyone! :)

  9. Definitely agree with the spaceship - especially if it has a holodeck!

  10. You are a great person to have on our A to Z Team! I still haven't watched that Gangnam style video, but I'm not much of a dancer either.

  12. Aww, that wasn't too hard, now was it? ;) I have to agree though, I struggle to talk about myself sometimes when it comes to my writing. I'd rather just hold the book up and let people focus on that.

  16. Damyanti, I understand exactly how you feel.
I'm that girl in the photo too. I DON'T LIKE talking about myself.

  17. Well those questions were different! Personally I prefer cake to pie any day, especially chocolate cake with fudge cream filling and chocolate icing.
See you in the A to Z!

  18. Poisonally I love gagnam style, just not fit enough to really do it properly. Nice to meet you and find a little bit more about you. I don't drink sodas either, horrid stuff in my book.

  21. I have always found it difficult to talk about myself, too. I think that is one of the reasons I started to blog in the beginning. But if I was to meet you for the first time in person, I would not be very forthcoming. Anyhow- enjoyed your answers!
