H is for HOPE

Hey there, hi there, ho there!  How are you doing? Yesterday you may have been GO GO GO with AJ, but a lot can change in a day.  I learned this the hard way.

We can be cruising along, all is fine, email is under control, we're getting our posts done, though at the last minute and under the wire and not without stress, but it's working.  We're even finding time to return comments!  Visit friends!

Then BAM.  Up against a wall.  Something in life derails us, and we feel hopeless, and like giving up.  It may be a sudden problem at work , it may be a crisis with a child, or it may be a health situation.

Now all looks bleak.  You can't do this anymore.  You're too far behind to catch up. You missed a post or two.  You didn't visit. Email is backed up.

Don't give up!  There's always HOPE.  There's always tomorrow.  Write the next letter.  Get it up there!  Look forward, not back.  Missing one or two isn't the end of the world nor will it cause you to "lose" The Challenge.

This whole crazy undertaking is about the journey, and as in life, we find pot-holes, construction, detours, we might even get lost.  We need to go around them, wait for it, follow the signs, and ask for directions.  Your co-hosts are here to help.

We HOPE you know that!  Now get out there and post!

~Tina, who is not going to be counting how many posts you wrote in April, but did you make it to the end?  I have HOPE in you.

  8. Great post! It's all about challenging ourselves and trying something new and different, learning and growing. It's not about getting down on ourselves or beating ourselves up! :)

  9. What a great choice of words for the letter H, Tina. I feel more optimistic simply in reading it. I only have a few more "ready to go" posts so now I need to write a bunch and get ahead again. It feels.... weird and yet just right. Thanks for all you do!

  21. Everything is well planned, but as you say who can tell. But it will take a huge bionic monster squid with X Ray vision and sharp pointy things that chew legs off folk and the like to stop me. So I HOPE I dont meet one or even a small baby one. However if I suddenly stop before I reach Z I would suggest running about screaming a lot might be a good move.

  26. I agree. If someone misses a day, just move on to the next letter. I don't think any of us would notice. I look at the day's letter when visiting blogs.

  32. Thanks Tina for posting about "HOPE" , this is definitely something I need right now when I have to deal with overwhelming changes in my life. I just transferred into a new city, with a new job, new colleagues, new apartment, new friends --- everything is new! Adapting is a big challenge specially in a country where I always find myself lost in translation! I have been abandoning my hobbies like blogging. Not being able to do my hobbies makes me lose my "zen".

I have been less active in blogging for the past 3 months but since I promised myself last year that I will do the A-Z April Challenge for 2014, here I am, back into creating entries in my page since April started and doing my best to manage despite being swamped with work! And here's me hoping to persevere until the end of the month and to be back into being active again in blogging even after finishing the challenge! :D

  38. Hoorayz! I am glad there is still HOPE because I'm so far behind it's not even funny. I'll cross the finish line, but it might not be till mid-May, haha! Oh, well. It's all in good fun, right? :p Thanks for the encouragement, Tina!

I'm participating in AtoZ, too. See you around!
