Quiz Time!

If you find yourself scrambling for something to write a post about, I have a suggestion: A QUIZ!

"Quiz" probably isn't the word for what I'm thinking of. I've seen it called a meme, a blog hop, even a blog award. Whatever you call it, you ask some questions and invite your readers to answer them, either in the comments or on their own blog with a "ping back" to yours. (Or, if you work with Blogger, a comment on your blog with the address of their answers.)

One I participate in is Share Your World, hosted by Melanie. She gives us four or five discussion questions, which we answer on our own blogs and "ping back" to hers. It's fun to do, and even if the questions are serious, I usually find a way to make my answer humorous, which is not the same as humerus, the bone between your shoulder and your elbow.

Give it a try sometime. I think you'll enjoy it.

  1. Quiz is a good word for a difficult letter. There are lots of communities of bloggers like the one you mentioned, John.

  2. I love this kind of games, creating a community with bloggers. I host a link party on Sundays for quilters, it's all about sharing, commenting, supporting, as everyone leave a link to their own blog, or Instagram/Facebook post. Of course the game is also to visit everyone ;)

  3. I did not have to think much for Q, in fact I had tough time choosing one for the blog. Considering I am dedicating this theme for 26 years of surviving 3rd stage breast cancer, I decided to go ahead with quality vs quantity - dilemma we face when making treatment choices.

  9. Do you know why the humerus is called the humerus, John?
Because it’s connected to the funny bone :D

  18. Oops! Not sure if my previous comment went through..
Quiz is certainly a wonderful Q word; and I have loved quizzes as long back as I can remember.. participating in school quizzes was always fun; and later watching shows on TV as well (like with Jeopardy now)
