#atozchallenge #roadtrip #lifeisgood - Road Trip Detour

A slight detour on today's Road Trip post.

I'm sure you've seen the news by now, that we have lost a very influential and inspiring woman from the blogging world, Tina Downey.

Tina and Nicole Ayers were kind enough to ask Stormy the Weather Gnome and I to join them in the Post A-to-Z Road Trip this year.

I was truly flattered and honored that they asked. Tina was very supportive and understanding when the newbie and her gnome asked the dumb questions.

I'll never forget her funny emails, her always relevant movie quotes, and just her general positive attitude, even when things weren't going well for her.

The Road Trip won't be the same without her.

Check out this POST to find out about the Sunflower for Tina tribute taking place soon.

  1. Hi Heather and Stormy the Weather Gnome .. it is one sad day isn't it ... and she was a true backer of the A-Z and its road trip - to give us an opportunity to keep visiting others who were on the A-Z journey ..

She will be much missed - Hilary

  3. I never had any close contact with Tina, but she was one of the A to Z's important team members and had made many close friends through it. She will be missed by many and missed by the A to Z. I guess it does go to show how something as quirky as a cyberspace based blogging event based on the Alphabet can lead to friendships between folk who would otherwise be unaware of each other.

  5. Detours are part of life, and I'm pleased to be a part of this one. It gives me a chance to think about important things such as friendship, flowers and family. I only knew Tina a short while, but I appreciated her sense of humor, and now I admire her for her ability to pull together such a large group to pay her tribute.
