I'm Falling Behind! #atozchallenge

I’m Falling Behind!

Is that you right now? Don’t panic!

Falling behind on posts? Fortunately, they’re short. Set aside thirty minutes and write and schedule two or three. Then you’ll be ahead.

Falling behind visiting other blogs? Set aside Sundays to visit new ones. Just do what you can.

Falling behind on returning comments? If you’re commenting on blogs who are not returning yours, just skip those for now. Focus on your visitors.

Yes, it is a Challenge! But we are doing it to have fun as well. And make new friends. We might have to stretch a bit, but we can accomplish all that and enjoy ourselves in the process.

Not falling behind in posts, the visiting all the cool places... that is my downside... so I invite you all to my place. :)

Very Nice Post... but you know that, that's why you posted it! Right!

I spend part of Sunday setting up my posts for the week to pot automatically. Takes the pressure off considerably and means I don't go a few days and then go, "Damn! I haven't done the A-Z challenge all week!"

I'm falling behind on getting posts scheduled. Many of the contributors to Girl Who Reads have already sent me their posts. But I still need to format and schedule them. Hopefully, now that my taxes are done (I do my own) I'll be able to get a bit more time to set up these posts.

I am behind in visiting other blogs for sure (there are so many!), and my posts for the week aren't finished yet :/ April is such a busy month for me but I love this challenge so I am just doing my best. This post made me feel a little better about it though, thank you!

I am skipping those that don't comment or I'll read them every other day type thing or if I have time at the end of the day. Otherwise, keeping on track here.

I am having an issue with writing this much :P. Normally I write once or twice a week and I have to remind myself to not write a book. This writing almost every day for just a few minutes it driving me slightly nuts. And I am behind on visiting. I planned on doing this over the weekend, but that didnt work out lol.

I started out ahead. I'm not behind but not ahead anymore either. Thanks for the encouragement!

You can write two or three posts in 30 minutes??! I'm slow and pedantic - takes at least an hour to put one together! Definitely falling behind! I've yet to write posts M-Z and keeping up with comment responses is incredibly difficult, as there are so many. That's a nice problem to have, though. :) Then there's real life, which frequently intrudes. Every year I vow to get all post completed before April 1st and every year, something has screwed up that plan. Next time, I'll start 6 or 7 months ahead.

Still posting... YAY!

My posts are all scheduled so that's not a problem for me. Visiting has been tricky this year, but I've been managing okay.

I've written all my posts, but Z. I try to answer to comments daily, at least several times a week and I follow already about 10 blogs which take part in this challenge and I write a comment every other day or so...
But as I started to learn norwegian I am really behind visiting new blogs. Instead I was learning to count from one to twenty last week in norwegian. I am afraid this week might come the numbers from 21 to 100...

Some days feels as if I'm on a treadmill, accomplishing little.

Nissa Annakindt said...

I started off with great hope, three good posts in a row. But then I was distracted by illness and household emergencies (got some baby ducklings who got chilled by unseasonable BLIZZARD.)
Another distraction was that my A to Z posts with their zombie apocalypse theme might put off blog readers who don't care for zombie fiction. I feel like I've got to give my readers some of my regular topics, too. So I am hoping to write shorter A to Z posts to post in the morning, and schedule another one for later in the day on another topic. Where time for my actual writing will come in I don't know.

I fell a bit behind in visiting the right blogs the first week, though thankfully, the blogs I've been visiting this week have a much higher rate of participation. Hopefully, that was just bad luck in the beginning, and from now on I won't encounter a majority of blogs that never started the Challenge or haven't even posted in over six months or several years.

I'm staying a couple days ahead with posts. This has been great in getting back into the groove of posting daily and having fun doing so. Doing my best to check out 5 new to me blogs a day. I too had to finish taxes yesterday so that took up quite a bit of time. Will catch up with commenting today.

Unknown said...

I fell ahead. Oops. Posted I on Sunday (rats - our one day off!), and J today, thinking today was Tuesday. Zounds. Battiness aside, I am enjoying the challenge.

Lori said...

Trying to do both, follow blogs and make comments. More time consuming than I thought to write a blog a day, especially since I have to post ahead. Vacation coming up last week in April.

This post was a huge breath of fresh air! I have pre-posted my blogs up to "P" but I feel so far behind on reading! Catching up on comments when I can. Whew! A Challenge indeed!!
Thanks for the encouragement :D

I just finished writing my last few posts so I'm good there, and I've been commenting back. I have not however managed to visit as many new blogs as I would like.

Jo said...

I still have 3 posts to write. W X and Y. There are still a number of people who don't leave sufficient information for one to return their visits. If only everyone would have a hyperlink signature. Some people I have visited several times have not returned the visits so I will not be visiting them again I guess.

J.L. Campbell said...

Good advice. I wrote up a chunk on the weekend. Going to make those return visits too.

Was thinking I had to write J, but just learned we had Sunday off! Thank you for all your hard work. I'm loving every minute of my first time!

I did some exploring on Sunday and found it more leisurely than trying to visit so many blogs every day. I still visit daily, but felt that Sunday gave me more time.

The only problem I have now is finding too many blogs I like. I know I'll not be able to keep up with all of them when this is over.

Thanks for this strategy to cope. I've already stopped commenting and following those people who don't bother to either reply or visit my blog in return.
