Our team theme this month is “Aspirations: Blogging hopes, dreams, and goals”.

What are your blogging aspirations? Do you hope to become a blogging leader (what would that look like to you)? Are you striving to cultivate meaningful relationships within the blogging community? Is it about self-growth and self-exploration for you? Could your blog give you a sense of fulfillment and personal pride? Is it about stretching your creativity?

Knowing the purpose and direction of your blog can keep you motivated. Taking part in this blog hop is a great way to connect with fellow bloggers and to establish a blogging routine.

Most bloggers in this hop aspire to post around 300 words for each letter. Enough to engage visitors, but not so much as to weigh the "hoppers" down.

The challenge continues to exist because of bloggers like you.

Aspirations need action to matter! That's why we ask you to follow us, and to tell others about this hop. There was a time when 1656 blogs joined, and it grew to 2009, but then shrank to 697, and last year we had just under 200 blogs in the hop. 📈📉 Such is the way of the Internet. To keep this hop alive, we need you to tell your blogging friends about it! Please post on your social media, comment and like 👍our posts, and spread the word about the #AtoZChallenge. 😁

We aspire to keep this blogging community active, thriving, inspiring, and supportive of one another.

  2. Blogging community has indeed shrunk. But some of us still love to blog, post, read, and comment.

    2. I have noticed that it’s shrunk. I knew this would happen when they got rid of the Blog of Note.
      Which I never received.
      Still butthurt over that.

  3. A great start to the month! My post is up. And this month I am on a virtual tour of India to places known for unusual customs and mysterious phenomena.
I am also looking forward to building meaningful connections within this community.
It’s interesting to see how the numbers have shifted over the years, but the core spirit of support remains the same.
Looking forward to visiting as many blogs as possible this April!

  4. Off to another month of intensive blogging… maybe the art of making your own words and pictures come alive for everyone has shifted from this medium to another? But I still enjoy it. My aspirations are reduced to getting through the month without a typo!

  6. When I started blogging in 2012 my aspirations were to improve my writing. My posts for this challenge may help my readers improve their writing! https://suestrifles.wordpress.com/2026/04/01/homophones-beginning-with-a-atozchallenge/

  7. The answer to all of the questions above are YES! I do aspire to be a blogging leader, to cultivate meaningful relationships, to actually post more often than just during the challenge (I know I say that every year). I've been blogging before blogs were real...when you sent an email and bcc'd everyone in your contact list! I guess now I have to ask myself how my own Actions Speak Louder than Words and how am I going to make that change?

    Cheers,

  8. My aspiration when I began in 2016 was to fill an empty nest as my youngest went off to college that August. Now my aspiration is to have fun and hopefully make people laugh but while they’re feeling something much deeper. My post for A is up today. Looking forward to making my way through the master list.

  9. My blogging aspirations is to keep up the pace of daily blogging. I was able to do it back when I first started (near the turn of the century) and hopefully find some new bloggers to read. My aspirations for my off line life it to keeping finding something to laugh about every day. https://misadventuresofwidowhood.blogspot.com/

  10. I have no aspirations, I just blog, like some ordinary task. But it's good to be around other bloggers and interaction with them, learn a little something and maybe enjoy myself.

    Have a lovely day.

  11. I'm focusing on reading poetry this month, which is not something I usually do. I aspire to learn to like it more, since I usually just kind of sigh and roll my eyes at it.

  12. My blog, I tell people is my personal legacy that I shall leave behind for my kids and grandkids. I write for the joy of writing, and share anecdotes from nature and wilderness that pique my attention.

Returning back to AtoZ after 8 years, seems like a fun attempt. Yet, I'm going to ensure I enjoy the process, minus additional pressure. :) It's not a do or die, but a time when I intend to fly/flap/or just be, in whichever direction the days unfold.

    Here's my first post:
