Goals #AtoZChallenge 2026

#AtoZChallenge 2026 letter G
MASTER LIST https://tinyurl.com/mu5vjy48

Our team theme this month is “Aspirations: Blogging hopes, dreams, and goals”.

"Goals" might seem like too large a term for this entire year's theme - so let's break it down.

I don't know about you, but I am the kind of person who works best when the tasks are small and easy to tick off a list. So instead of "Do A to Z this year" I'd make a list like:

- Decide on a theme!
- Make an A-Z list!
- Complete a post today!
- Visit 5 other blogs today!

Having smaller goals is half the battle. The other half is rewards. This system got me through writing a dissertation, and you can tweak it for yourself... but basically, with small goals come small rewards. A piece of chocolate? Ten minutes of listening to your favorite music? A trip to buy some fresh fruit? Watching one episode of your favorite show? Whatever it is that rewards you, goes hand in hand well with the goals you set.

Keep blogging! You have already done the first week! Good job!

  2. Goals are great and I totally am into making lists...usually they are bigger than I can complete in any given day...heck I'm lucky to complete them in a week. I do have to work on the visiting other blogs...I struggle. But that brings me to my post today. We all have Good Intentions] ... remember to give ourselves some grace too.
    Cheers,
    Barbie

  4. Having a great time just gadding about and gabbling amongst all the galliard posts! That's my goal! Not to gasconade, but I've written every day so far!

  5. My goal? To lose thirty pounds by Friday on a diet of steak and ice cream. Oh, you mean blogging goals! To finish this challenge without missing a day of posting and visit as many other blogs as possible.

  8. Yes, I too believe in have small and attainable goals ... It's always good to dream big, but in mind it's better to have what is achievable.

  9. Small steps and small goals work for me too. Lovely to see it being reiterated here.
    :)
I have some huge family commitments coming up from 17 April, and I'm telling myself I'll do the best I can with my posts, keep them real short. And if I can't get to the finish line, thats okay too. I'll see them through in May.

Idea is to have fun while doing the AtoZ. :)
2017-2018 AtoZs led to my first two books. This time it's all about playing it by the ear.
I'm happy I can look at things far more simply than I ever did! Not that I don't struggle. ;-)
