W is for Wishes

#AtoZChallenge 2026 letter W
MASTER LIST https://tinyurl.com/mu5vjy48

Our team theme this month is “Aspirations: Blogging hopes, dreams, and goals”.

I have a dream: No AI scraping my hard work to create AI generated generic slop that fills up the internet.

But we’ve moved past the moment where we could kill the Terminator to stop Skynet from taking over. Now we must adjust. Or stop.

My wish for blogging is that people will stop using AI to write their content for them. This isn’t a race. Blog because it’s fun; because it fills you with a sense of accomplishment; because you want to share your views with the world.

If you’re a slow writer, plan your content ahead. You can schedule your posts once you’ve written them. No need to rush.

What are your blogging wishes? Do you have dreams for your blog?

  2. I blog mainly as an activity of self-expression. I am glad that there are a few people who relates to what I write on, and I am more delighted that some of them have over time become my blog pals.

  3. My wish is that people stop putting so much advertisement in their blogs...there's nothing worse than going to a blog and having adds pop up all the the time. But I guess that's how some people make money...they don't do it for fun or as a hobby. Me I just do it because I like it and if I used AI to write my posts they'd be a lot smarter! Ha ha. I work in chat and someone got mad at me because I spelled their name wrong and then they said I was probably AI. I wanted to tell them that AI wouldn't have spelled their name wrong. Oh well, I guess that's Wisdom

  6. I never, and I mean NEVER, use AI to write anything for me. To even consider it smacks of laziness, IMO. Of course, I'm a boomer (like the ones on the Progressive commercials) so that may go with the territory.
BTW, I also print paper tickets for the airport. I WILL use my phone boarding pass but I have paper JUST IN CASE...LOL.

  7. No AI on my blog - yet. I hope to keep it that way but of course we do have to try and keep abreast of new developments. I mean the internet was probably someone's dream at some point and now where would we be without it.

  8. My wish for bloggers and blog readers to be kinder. Words either make one feel good or the other way. It's easy to forget your words have impacts.

    Have a lovely day.

  9. I can’t help, but think of the old adage “if wishes were horses, then beggars would ride” I don’t think I ever understood what that meant. But I wish all the time. Or hope maybe? Are those not exactly synonyms? I wish everyone peace and love.
