Copy of the MASTER LIST 2023 #AtoZchallenge

Here's something new we're testing in 2023

#AtoZChallenge 2023 badge

Jayden has created a way for the spreadsheet FOR THE MASTER LIST 2023 to be visible here on the site.

#atozchallenge Theme reveal scroll reminder

This is not your personal copy. You won't be able to reorganize the entries. You can't change "no" to "yes" as you leave comments for others.
You CAN see if anyone noted "other" with their theme category, and see which sites are "adult," by scrolling left and right. (see the image pointing out where the bottom scrollbar is located).

Depending on feedback, if this method is popular with our blog-hopping participants, we will make a post like this for the other forms too. The form will update until April 9. (It can take Google up to five hours to refresh. If you sign up and don't see your info on the list on this post by then, please contact a team member. We're locked to the top of the list for your convenience.)

Please, let us know if you enjoy having the completed list on a post on our site.

Challenge Awareness:

Visitors to your blog have to be able to comment on your posts (without "signing up" for anything first). Please disable any CAPTCHA. Commenting should be as easy as possible.

Remember to use a link that goes to your BLOG. Sometimes Wordpress users leave links to their dashboard where they create posts, rather than links to their blogs. The team has done what we can to raise awareness of this.

Because of GDPR and other privacy regulations, you should make sure that any options for getting email (newsletters, blog comment replies, etc) are OPT IN ~ meaning checkboxes are not "pre-checked." (If your blog doesn't have this, don't worry about it.)

Links that do not go to a BLOG with posts that can be commented on will be REMOVED.

Badges! Letters! A calendar showing which letters go on which days!

#AtoZChallenge - Please consider using the challenge hashtag to get more traffic for your blog.

In 2018, Jayden made a post with video and written instructions. If you are having difficulty with the form or Master List spreadsheet, please check the instructions first.
http://www.a-to-zchallenge.com/2018/03/master-list-sign-ups.html
If you still need help after that, you can reach the team:
On Gmail: atozteam2018
On Twitter: @JRVincente (for spreadsheet and form questions) @JLenniDorner (other issues)
On Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/atozchallenge
Or on our own blogs. Contact us.
(The team is helping as many people as we can as fast as we can. It may sometimes take a few days.)

Question the team has already gotten in 2021:
"I signed up on a Linky that one of the participants has going. Am I on the Master List?"
No. No you are not. You can ONLY be on the Master List if you sign up on the Master List from this site. The A to Z Team does not control those other Linky sign-ups. Any other linky is not officially part of this #atozchallenge, does not put your blog on our Master List, and is not endorsed, monitored, or regulated by the A to Z Team. You use them at your own discretion. We are also not part of blogchatter.
The A to Z Team runs this website, we don't control the rest of the Internet. ๐Ÿ˜

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1nZ7UupzB78MvJnraN9khkLJT3jM6uOP1LTDc8gaQluY

That is to VIEW the list.
It is recommended you make a COPY of the list

AFTER sign-ups are closed.

If you make a copy now, it will not update as more people join.

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1UBrVtvGoVSOhhq-3kQMTmrxqED6auxlf/view
Instructions on using this method were provided last year.

http://www.a-to-zchallenge.com/2019/03/master-list-atozchallenge-2019-and-post.html To sign-up, click here.
You must use the Google Form to sign up. You cannot input your data on the sheet.

To quickly check if you are on the Master List, go to it https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1nZ7UupzB78MvJnraN9khkLJT3jM6uOP1LTDc8gaQluY and use the find function (Ctrl+F, or Edit > Find), then type the name of your blog.

Co-hosts cannot, and will not, sign you up. Do not sign up blogs that are not yours.
You must use the Google Form to get on the Master List. The Google Form may also provide an option to edit your response.

Announcement:

We have done away with the daily lists.

This was discussed at length.
  • The daily lists confused some people.
  • Some people were upset that they had to spend 36 seconds a day to get on the daily lists.
  • There was too much debate about how long the daily lists needed to stay open.
  • Some people weren't making copies with all the blogs.
  • Some people weren't able to get on the list before it closed.

The drawback is that there may be some "dead" links as the month goes on.
Keeping the Master List perfect requires several hours a day. People have tried, and have run away screaming.
So the Master List might not be perfect. The team will do the best we can to remove spam and inappropriate links.
HOWEVER, if blogs drop out in April, we won't be cleaning the list to reflect it.

Here's the thing though:
Most of you will make your own copy of the list anyway. (Hopefully you'll wait until sign-ups close on April 6. Or go back and grab the information on the blogs you may have missed.)
Therefore, we won't be able to edit YOUR private copies anyway. If you find a blog that dropped out, and you've made a copy of the Master List for yourself, just delete it on your copy. Or don't. We'll never know.
The daily lists were less popular than the Master List. That's something we learned from the after survey.

We urge you not to make personal copies of the current Master List until more bloggers have had a chance to sign-up.
Several people have asked for the link so they can make sure they signed up. That's why this is being shared now instead of later, as planned.
Please keep spreading the word about the challenge to all the bloggers you know.

What you need to know to sign up:

  • Blog Name : What your blog is called.

  • Category : Usually the type of posts you have. Or, if you prefer, the type of blog you run.
  • Comment : This is NEW for this year! We've made a column so you can keep track of which blogs you've gone to.
  • Adult Content : This challenge is based out of America, where adulthood begins at 18. If your blog has, or will have, content not suitable for minors, you are required to state as such.
  • Continuous Story : For those who write a part each day, and it makes more sense when read from A.
  • Voting : For those who need votes to determine their next post. (Such as Choose Your Adventure)

#AtoZChallenge Sign Up Reminder!

Hi! Jayden, here, your new co-host for the A to Z Challenge! I've already interacted with many of you via email and comments adjusting your sign ups for the Master List. I just wanted to take a moment to give you all a few reminders about our new systems.

  • The last day to add your link to the Master List is March 31st. Check out our post for more details on how to sign up if you haven't yet.

THE MASTER LIST IS NOW CLOSED.

  • You can add your links daily for more exposure, but it's totally optional. A full list of all daily forms can be found here, or you can follow the A to Z Challenge Blog for daily posts that include the form link and the daily list link.
  • If you need your information fixed on the Master List, please let me know in comment or email (jrvincente@gmail.com), but I will not be fixing daily lists.
  • A handful of people participate only by sharing links on Facebook or Twitter. It means far less exposure for you and your blog.
    • We highly recommend including " #AtoZChallenge " in your post titles and social media links.
  • Each daily link will close 48 hours after it opens.
  • The reason we did both lists is to accommodate
    • participants who like the daily lists (which won't have many broken link)
    • participants who don't mind a few broken links, but want one Master List
  • The MASTER LIST also allows us to count how many people joined the challenge (approximately)
  • Some benefits of the Google Sheet are that it's searchable, sortable, and filterable! The post linked above has instructions on how to do those things.
  • The Master List should include a link to your blog (Example: http://a-to-zchallenge.com/). The daily lists should include direct links to specific posts. (Example: http://www.a-to-zchallenge.com/2018/03/master-list-sign-ups.html)
  • The Theme Reveal is now closed. You can check out direct links to theme reveals here, and take that as an opportunity to familiarize yourself with Google Sheets!
