It's Friday! What is your #FridayReads ?

We made it to Friday, friends, hooray! Give yourself a pat on the back.  If you're like me, you're always reading and Fridays are no exception.  If you're short on ideas during April's A to Z Challenge maybe you can do a #FridayReads post each friday? Surely you're reading something, right?

Currently I'm reading Unbroken by Laura Hillenbrand.  I know it's not my usual kids' book, but I'm reading it for one of the book clubs I host at work.  It's a great story of Louis Zamperini, Olympic champion, WWII vet, POW survivor, and all around amazing guy.

It's non fiction so if that's your schtick then you'll understand why it's ben on the New York Times bestseller list for years.  Nonfiction takes me a long time to read, because I have to look up all the references and then I get distracted learning what an atoll is, for example, and then before I know it, I've spent an hour studying something marginally related to the book.

But oh the knowledge I've gained!

The better news is that the movie of the same title is slated to be released during the holiday season and it looks like a winner. I'm sure I'll drag my family to see it.

So, that's my #FridayReads.  Post yours below!

Pam

I'm really looking forward to the movie of UNBROKEN. Right now I'm reading FIVE DAYS LEFT - a contemporary/women's fiction heartbreaker of a book!

I'm going to check out my new books I got yesterday. The Positive Trait Thesaurus and The Negative Trait Thesaurus by Angela Ackerman and Becca Puglisi. I can't wait to start using them in my writing!

I'm actually finally going to start Malice by John Gwynne. I've had in on my TBR shelf after my oldest son recommended it.

I haven't heard of Five Days Left but I love your play on Shawshank Redemption, my all time FAVE movie!

I'm reading A Ghostly Road Trip. Which is ghost stories about Upper Michigan (where I live.) There's been more than a few punctuation typos, but the stories have keep me going.

I'm half way through 1Q84 by Haruki Murakami. It's a monster novel of some 1100 pages, but very good >:)

I picked up a book that's been in my bookshelf for years and now I can't put it down. Ken Wilber: One Taste ... non fiction and I was so in the mood for a novel. I've heard of The Unbroken ... sounds a goodie.

I read a lot of non-fiction and historical fiction. The non-fiction has been mostly miss than hate lately, so I'm concentrating on fiction. Currently I'm reading A Kingdom Divided by Alex Rutherford.

I'm rereading Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. It's quite interesting because up until now I've only ever read the UK edition but I've got an American copy and I'm playing 'spot the language differences'.
