What Would You Do For Klondike?

Here's a hint if you're feeling the need to rest: Play a few games of Klondike!

I've found that, when writing ideas stop coming to me, the best thing to do is to give myself something mindless to do. Klondike is perfect for that: it's challenging, yet the type of game that you know almost instinctively how to play. This gives you a chance to let your mind work on something more challenging, like what to write for your next post. For an added boost, put on some instrumental music or white noise to quiet the voices in your head.

Don't have a card deck nearby, or don't have a Solitaire program on your computer? Try World of Solitaire. You can play right in your browser. And if Klondike's not your thing, there are hundreds of other solitaire games you can play there.

Only one thing: don't forget to stop and come back to the writing. Okay? Okay!

Klondike looks like a game that was called Sevens by people in my family. (Not to be confused with a game for more people also called Sevens!)
Once I went on holiday alone (exchange visit). The rest of the family went somewhere else. We all learned new games of patience (solitaire). The one I learned was the same as one of theirs, even though I had gone to France, while they remained in the UK!

And here I was thinking Klondike was the square of ice cream coated with a thin layer of chocolate...hmmmm YUM. I like spider solitaire actually but when I start playing it I don't want to stop until I win and most times you can't beat a computer. I posted about kids

Have a great day.
Cheers,

I'd rather have the ice cream bar treat with the same name for a mindless sweet distraction to get my creative mojo going again if you please. :) I do play a lot of Spider solitaire and other mobile games when I'm in-between tasks. Thanks for co-hosting the A2Z Challenge, John! Y'all really rock!!

Check out today's Looney Tunes' Art Sketch of Kiss Me Cat when y'all get a chance. Happy A2Zing, folks!

I was addicted to computer solitaire years ago. At my request, my son "hid" the game in the computer but I became tech-savvy enough to find it anyway. So, again at my request, we dumped it completely and I haven't played a game of solitaire since. I will need to find some other, less addicting, mindless activity!

Used to play it all the time and then I got into word games so that's where I usually end up now. I do like Freecell though, which is a kind of solitaire.

I love solitare. I don't know if I ever knew it was called Klondike thought. I often play a wordgame when I need to unwind. But I do have to be careful that it doesn't suck all the time away from my writing, or knitting, or walking!

Klondike is what I call "real" solitaire, and it's harder to find in apps and game downloads than the one up-one down form. I play Klondike, and Spider (or Spiderette I think, as it's only two suits).

Oh well, I first thought of the ice cream by the same name that we have.. A ice cream sandwich bar made in San Francisco (so local for us!).. it is also called Klondike.. and what would I do for that? I do love it a lot.:)

As for card games, I have played Solitaire but not this one
